Do you know someone with cancer?
Going through treatment can be rough and helping a small way can make a big difference. You don’t have to be a miracle worker to make someone’s experience better.
Tips on support:
- Keep a positive attitude. Seeing a smile or hearing a feel good story often lifts people out of a slump.
- Offer to run errands. If you’re already on your way to do something it should be no trouble at all to pick up a few things for a friend or family member.
- Keep him or her company. Take some time out of your busy day to sit down and watch a movie or television show. Offer to go with them to their appointments, be there for moral support.
- Create safe surroundings. During chemotherapy and radiation therapy it’s important to make an area essentially germ-free. If anyone is sick ask them to wear a mask and make sure there is plenty of hand sanitizer in site.
Keeping these things in mind can be very beneficial for those affected by cancer.
