KEEP A BREAST

Posted in Self Breast Exam.

Today we want to tell you about this great organization called Keep A Breast. We are super stoked for their great attitude and how they share our belief of being in this together. They offer unique programs that use art and artistic expression by creating breast casts with plaster forms of the female torso to help spread the word about breast cancer prevention, how to detect it early and why it is important to live a healthy and toxic-free lifestyle.

There are so many different programs that they do, and that you can get involved in. Something that’s really amazing is the High School Art Jam. It’s a program for high schools that allows students to create their own breast cast exhibits. How cool is that? They also offer a Community Outreach program, allowing other people to organize and create their own exhibits and all proceeds are donated to Keep A Breast and local breast cancer charities. And of course there are also the original Keep A Breast Art events, which are a huge part of the organization. It showcases and auctions off authentic Keep A Breast casts painted by popular artists.

Something else you may want to get involved in, especially if you have a band, is the Music for the Cause program. This puts the opportunity to fundraise in your hands in your community.

You also may want to check out the This is MY Story Campaign. It gives the stories of young people that have been affected by breast cancer. It gives them a way to share their feelings and connect with others going through the same thing.

Keep A Breast has been so supportive of Skate4Cancer over the years by promoting our cause through social media. They really have such big hearts.
